Circumambulation.. An inward spiral.. An upward spiral... March 2021

"Biblical apologetic is the best use of our natural faculties of thought in submission to the Holy Spirit to remove doubts and problems that hinder a trustful, energetic participation in a life of personal relationship with God." p. 48 The Allure of Gentleness by Dallas Willard
Circumambulation.. An inward spiral.. An upward spiral.
Dealing with Doubt p.36 of  The Allure of Gentleness Dissolved is duromenone, which really
means turned loose...
"Everything will be turned loose, come apart, dissolve...earth is a very small part of creation, and we want to keep that in mind...E = mc². Once we learn to read that equation from left to right as well as from right to left, it helps us understand that God’s action transforms his energy into matter (Gen. 1; Heb. 11:3). That’s the nice thing about equations—they work in both directions.  p.90-92
"Faith as something that is based on knowledge as well as something that goes beyond anything you could know, and involves a commitment to ...
God and his kingdom. Those two things, knowledge and commitment, are not exclusive of one another; rather, they are related. If we do not have a knowledge of God at the Foundation of our commitment, that commitment simply will not hold up." p. 95

It's not our job to toughen our children up to face a cruel and heartless world. It's our
“...Job to raise children who will make the world a little less cruel and heartless.” ~ L.R. Knost
"Keep in mind that the physical universe is not all  he created. When we read Genesis 1:1, it says, “In the beginning when God created the heavens”—plural—“and the earth.” But we sort of zip by the heavens and focus on the earth as if that’s all that really matters." p. 92 of  The Allure of Gentleness

"Quark soup"  after the big bang, order could have emerged in it such as we have—especially when we look at the various great walls of galaxies, which seem totally incomprehensible from the viewpoint
of cosmic evolution as we’ve understood it."p.87 The Allure of Gentleness by Dallas Willard
Role of  Reason: Reason is the human ability to see a Relationship between real or possible facts and other real or possible facts, such that if you have the one, you have the other...By reasoning, he’s trying to draw them out to where they will come to understand." p.54-68 The Allure of Gentleness by Dallas Willard

"Trust God and use your head." ~ p.51 of  The Allure of Gentleness by Dallas Willard
"...Use Understanding without leaning on it. And that’s what Jesus did. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own Understanding” (NIV).
"Vision of the self-subsistent being without which all of the universe as we know it would simply fold up and disappear—that knowledge, that faith, that Vision is the rock upon which we can build our lives."
William (both Wordsworth and Blake) quotes are shared beginning at min 17 Jordan Peterson video as he reads from his new book Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life
