Not so random really...

Tripped across this this morning. Facebook now posts random past messages of yours and your friends in the top right area of the screen. This one of mine is from August 22, 2009 at 7:51am

"If you don't feel as close to God as you use to, who moved?" I thought of this quote this morning as I sat still long enough to finally see my hummingbirds again. It had been days, so yesterday's gratitude list was apparently a ...prayer; this morning the answer. I'd been wondering where my hummingbirds went. lol. Thank you, God, for your sweet, gentle answers to all of my questions.♥

I don't often post pictures of myself on my blog, but I had to make an except ion with this one. Yesterday, one of our recent graduates returned to visit. While there, one of her former professors declared that we looked alike. Being a bit of a stickler for correct word usage, it struck me as particularly funny, and Whitney and I decide to turn the moment into a photo op. i

Turns out, many people went for this color combo yesterday, some wearing a white shirt with black shorts (Whitney's are actually khaki), but we were just so tickled to be TWINS! The whole thing did get me thinking about who similar we ALL are. One human family...

Ok - so not enough ABCs for a real ABC post - oh well - busy day, I guess...

Monday, Monday...

...so good to me / Monday mornin', it was all I hoped it would be... and then I went to work. It's that time of year when we go from one thing to the next. If there is a plan, adjusting it is ALWAYS necessary. So! That said, here are the ABCs for the day thus far.

Moving things around..

A few years ago, I began to learn the art of moving and cleaning what I have, instead of buying something new. It has become a necessity, not only for financial reasons, but also for my sanity. I LOVE to move the energy around and of course, since I do these things by myself, move my muscles as well. I may need a soak in some nice, cheap, effective lavender-scented epsom salts later, but it is so worth it!! The treasures I unearth when I do this are always so amazing. For example, when looking for something completely unrelated, I happened to find this quote on the backside of something I'd cut from a magazine years ago...

"He kissed me and now I am someone else." --Gabriela Mistral, Chilean Poet

Gobsmacked combines the northern English and Scottish slang term gob, mouth,
with the verb smack. It suggests the speaker is utterly astonished or astounded. It’s much stronger than just being surprised; it’s used for something that leaves you speechless, or otherwise stops you dead in your tracks.

Rainy days that are Saturdays...

are to be fully appreciated, so... I think I'll make myself a second cup of coffee and just READ for a change.... or not...

I skipped the second cup of coffee and opted for a shower and I long walk with Misty, afterwhich I kinda needed another shower, so humid, but! timing was perfect because it started to rain again right after we got inside. I did a little shopping instead of a whole bunch of errands. Came back with 2 Redbox movies. The first was kind of a downer, but Natalie Portman was good in it.

Watching Little Fockers now and here's a new word for today...
